Use this service to change the address in your log book to a new UK address.
This service is available from 7am to 8pm.
You will need:
1. Your Vehicle Regsitration
2. Your most recent Logbook (V5)
3. A UK address
4. Check if your vehicle is taxed or needs taxing in the next 4 weeks
You can also apply by post to change your address. How you do this depends on which style log book you have.
If you have the new style log book with multi-coloured numbered blocks on the front cover, you need to:
1. Write the new address in section3 (you can not use a PO Box address
2.Send the whole Logbook (V5) to the DVLA address in section 3
If you have the older style Logbook (V5) you need to:
1. Write the address in section 6 - do not use a PO Box address
2. Sign and send the whole Logbook (V5) to the DVLA address in section 8
Do not tick the "New Keeper" box or fill in your name oihn the older style form.
Either:
1. Tax on line before sending to the DVLA
2. take your logbook to your local postoffoce where you can Tax your vehicle and change your details at the same time
